If you are like everyone else, scrambling to get your new Facebook timeline design squared away, you may have come across this problem – why can’t I get the custom tab thumbnails that appear below the timeline banner to fill up the entire space Facebook gives me!! The tab thumbnails don’t fit under the timeline banner and there is extra space on the sides! No worries, we have a simple solution for you right here.
When you are resizing your thumbnail images we have found that the 368 pixel x 236 pixel template works nicely. This isn’t going to be the size of the actual thumbnail, but these proportions work well to fill up the whole thumbnail space that Facebook gives you. Facebook will scale the image down to fit in the thumbnail area:
