Facebook’s billion-dollar Instagram acquisition is looking better and better. Instagram announced today that it now has more than 300 million monthly active users, up from 200 million in March. At that level, Instagram likely has about as many or more users than Twitter, which announced in October that it had 281 million active users in the third quarter.
Your Twitter profile is about to have a new look. Calling the changes “a whole new you,” Twitter announced Tuesday that it will be rolling out a fresh design and new features to user profile pages. The company says the changes will make self-expression on the social network “even easier” and “more fun.”

In a post Monday afternoon, Twitter announced “a refreshed twitter.com reflecting the look & feel of our iOS & Android apps.” The look won’t be a change for some users.
