Bill Buxton (@wasbuxton) – Bill Buxton is a Canadian computer scientist and designer. Bill is a UX interaction designer and researcher at Microsoft. Bill was previously the head of his own consulting firm. Bill is best known for being one of the pioneers in the user experience interaction field. In 2002, Time Magazine named him one of the top 5 designers in Canada.

Don Norman (@jnd1er) – Don was the first designer who coined the term “user experience”. Don wrote the “Design of Everyday Thing”, which is a best-selling book which describes how design serves as the communication between object and user, and how to optimize the communication in order to make the experience of using an object enjoyable. Don is also the director of The Design Lab at the University of California, San Diego. The lab works on major societal issues, such as large-scale education, healthcare, visualization of complex data, and various ethical issues.

Irene Au (@ireneau) – Irene has been employed by some of the biggest names on the web. Irene was the former head of design at Google, Yahoo and Udacity. Nowadays, Irene is an operating partner at Khosla Ventures. She works with companies to make their design and UX better. On top of her busy schedule, she’s also a yoga instructor and somehow finds time to teach yoga 4 times a week.

Laura Klein (@lauraklein)  – Laura has worked as an engineer, UX designer, and product manager in Silicon Valley for companies of many different sizes. She’s written two books “Build Better Products” and “UX for Lean Startups”, which help teams learn more about their users and apply knowledge to make products that people will use and love. Laura advises early-stage startups and also consults with companies that want to improve their research, UX, and product development processes.
